Having enemies in life is a position I never thought possible with me, because of my gentle disposition towards life. I have always sought the good of others. But, experience has taught me that life is a battle and only the strongest wins. Our lives, environments, and cultures are all structured to encourage battle for the survival of the fittest. In business, we observe competition, rivalry, etc., our counterparts in business are always working on a scheme that would increase their share of the market and if you do nothing you might go out of business. In our school it is the same thing. In all facets of life, struggling to grab it all is encouraged. Why these struggles to grab the available customers, space, time, or whatever that is contended for? May be there exist a scarcity of the things being scrambled for. For, if there is an abundance of things, there would be no need for struggling and fighting. Or may be, there is a deep sense of greed or love of the competing parties towards what there are fighting for. If what is compelling them to fight is motivated by greed then there is hatred and their mission is destroy what they struggle to get. If what is compelling them to fight for the available share of the market is motivated by love, then is a concerned by the competitor for the customer's growth and welfare. Even in the spiritual realm, there is an unseen battle fighting for the available physical things. As mere humans, we have little knowledge of what is really occurring in the realm of the spirit, for it takes a spirit to tell you what is happening in the spirit. But, we thank God for the Bible, it is a book of the Spirit and it reveals a lot of the activities that occurs in the spirit world. The Bible reveals that there exist two forces in the realm of the spirit. There is the spirit of the devil and the spirit of God. They have many other names. These two forces of the spirit are fighting for the available physical human beings. The devil has captured some share of humans and as well as God’s has his own. Those on the devil’s side are called sinners; those on God’s side are called Christians. The battle of the spirit has been extended to the physical world but fought spiritually. So, the battle of the devil and God is being fought by their allies or subjects in the physical world. There is an ongoing war between these two forces, if you are Christian you in a war and you have enemies. As a young Christians, many years ago, I did not know of this truth. I actually thought the devil and I have nothing that would bring us at loggerhead, as far as I know then, I thought if I give him his distance he will give me the same, but I was wrong. The battle line has drawn and no going back. Many Christians today still carry that erroneous belief. Have YOU ever wondered why you called a soldier of the Lord? It is because you are in a war. A soldiers is not called for funfare but, for the battlefield. Now, how can you, a Christian and soldier of the Lord fight an enemy you don’t know? The Bible talks a lot about him. The Bible reveals his areas of strength and weakness. Knowing him, gives you the advantage of mapping out strategy to fight him and his agents. I want to start a series of posts that would reveal a. Who is our enemy b. His agents c. His origin d. His present location e. His kingdom f. His subjects g. His methods of attack or strategies h. His operational base i. His coming expulsion from heaven j. His incarnation k. His final doom and l. How to overcome him presently. I have written a book on this subject, to get the book in soft or hard copy, send your P.O BOX address to me, with a love seed to support the book writing Ministry.
